Repeat Prescriptions

Nice_blue_pillsPrescriptions for medicines taken regularly can be obtained without seeing the doctor so long as he or she has agreed to this.

Everytime you are issued with a prescription you will receive a white slip attached to the prescription. This lists all the medication you are currently taking and which is available to you on repeat. When you need a further supply of tablets there are a variety of options for reordering .

  • Ordering on online  via Systm 1 online or the NHS App *
  • By sending an email to the surgery email address calderview.patient@nhs.net stating your name and date of birth and clear details of what it is you need to order
  • In COVID times we will make special dispensation for patients who cannot use either of the above options and allow them to order by telephone however you must have no access to email to do this and this will only be for the period of COVID restrictions

There are many changes to how prescriptions are now dealt with all prescriptions go directly electronically to your chosen pharmacy you can no longer collect a paper prescription from the surgery

For patients who are stable on repeat medications and for whom the clinicians deem appropriate you may be out on repeat dispensing more details of this will be provided to you if we feel you are suitable for this service.

Please note that prescriptions cannot generally  be taken over the telephone and that prescriptions can be collected after 48 hours.
