Please take a moment to read the following information as our operating procedures have recently changed.
The practice is now operating a blend of telephone and face to face appointments. When you speak to our Reception Care Navigators you will be asked to give some details for the reason for your call that day .
They will then advise you about the appointment type and any relevant details .
When asked about Covid symptoms please answer the questions asked honestly if you have symptoms of Covid EG A new continuous cough loss of taste and or smell high temperature you may be asked to access the surgery through a different entrance this is to keep you our staff and other patients safe and secure
Face to Face Appointments
If asked to attend for a Face to Face appointment.
You must
- Arrive as near to your appointment as possible
- Please wear a mask it protects you and the clinician you are seeing
Telephone Appointments
- If offered a telephone appointment you may be asked to send in some photo's of your condition
- The practice policy is for the Clinician to try a ring a patient twice if a patient fails to answer on 2 occasions then the Clinician will move onto the next patient and you will have to telephone again another day.
Please be kind to our team they are here to help you they never deserve to be sworn at or abused .
We operate a ZERO TOLERANCE policy around abuse of our staff . Our team are working extremely hard to look after our patients they have to follow the guidance set out by the practice and by national policy . If you abuse our staff verbal or physically you will be removed from our practice list .
VACCINATION AGAINST CORONA VIRUS
Spring Boosters are now available for patients over 75 and for immuno supressed patients . You will have had an invitation to book if you are eligible .
Please note there is no option to give vaccines early due to Holidays

Routine Evening and Weekend Appointments
Evening and weekend appointments now available run by Curo Health our local GP federation
Patients can now see a local GP for routine appointments on weekday evenings and at weekends.
Pre-bookable and on-the-day appointments are available between 6.30pm and 9.30pm each weekday, with additional slots available on Saturdays from 9am and 4pm and Sundays 9am and 1pm.
The appointments will be available in Dewsbury Health Centre.
How to book an evening or weekend appointment
There are ‘pre-bookable’ and ‘on-the-day’ appointments which can be accessed through your own GP practice, or by calling the free NHS 111 phone line out of normal working hours
The practice offers extended hours appointments these are appointments which are outside the time our normal surgery .
